For help, email [email protected]. Include your app version, iOS version and a description of what happened. Please omit private reading material, photos and backups unless you intentionally choose to share them.
Search Chinese characters, pinyin, Jyutping or English meanings. Choose the spoken language in Settings. CC-CEDICT, CC-Canto and reference/stroke data work offline. Other dictionaries, font families and most recordings download when needed, so first use requires a connection. Recordings are labeled by source; coverage varies.
In Reader, use Add reading to paste text, import TXT/EPUB, or recognize an image. Text from photo offers Take photo and Choose from library. Camera access is optional; recognition runs on-device. Dictionary Input tools also offers handwriting and image recognition.
Words, notes, review schedules and books stay on your device. Export a JSON backup in Settings before deleting the app or replacing data. Restore backup replaces current local study data. There is no account-based automatic sync. Clear downloaded audio removes disposable downloads while keeping study data.
Read the iOS privacy policy. It is also available offline in the app’s Settings. Website feedback and email correspondence are optional and separate from local study data.
